Is Quantum Week free?

Pricing details will be confirmed and published here before registration opens.

Who can attend?

Quantum Week is designed for students, developers and quantum-curious learners. Final eligibility wording is TBD.

Do I need prior quantum experience?

No prior experience is required for the learning program. Sessions will indicate a level (Beginner / Intermediate / Advanced) once confirmed.

Can beginners attend?

Yes — Quantum Week welcomes first-time learners as well as experienced participants.

Do I need a laptop?

A laptop is recommended for hands-on sessions and the hackathon. See the Resources page for setup requirements.

Will I receive a certificate?

Certificate details will be confirmed by the organizing team and published once approved.

Are food/refreshments provided?

Logistics details will be shared closer to the event.

Sessions

Do I have to attend every session?

No — you select the sessions you plan to attend during registration.

Hackathon

Do I have to participate in the hackathon?

No — the hackathon is an optional opt-in within your Quantum Week registration, not a separate mandatory event.

How will teams be formed?

Team formation details are still being finalized and will be published on the Hackathon page.

Registration

How do I register for workshops?

Use the Register CTA in the navigation or hero section to complete the single Quantum Week registration form.

Can I register for the hackathon later?

Where organizers permit it, registered participants will be able to update their hackathon participation after initial registration.

What happens if registration reaches capacity?

The site will display a Closed or Waitlist state and instructions for next steps, without needing a new deployment.

Is this an in-person event?

Yes. Quantum Week 2026 is an in-person event hosted on campus at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology (MSRIT) in Bengaluru. Attendees must confirm they live in or can travel to Bengaluru to attend the sessions in person.

Will photos or videos be taken during the event?

Yes. As an official IBM Qiskit Fall Fest event, photographs and video recordings will be captured during workshops, lectures, and hackathon presentations. Selected media may be featured on official QuantumRIT and IBM Quantum community channels and LinkedIn.

What software/accounts do I need?

An IBM Quantum Platform account and a working Qiskit installation are expected. Full setup guidance is on the Resources page.
